Ballarini cookware review
Ballarini offers a variety of cookware, which is available in sets or as individual pieces. Some of their better-known ranges are Parma, Como and Pisa, but they also have several other ranges like the Series 2800, Series 4000 and the ServInTavola.
Below we have reviewed a set from each of the better know ranges and a few separate other individual pieces.
Pisa is the low-end series of Ballarini lineup.
Pisa comes in 2, 7 and 10-piece sets
- 10″ fry pan
- 12″ fry pan
7 piece set:
- 8″ fry pan
- 1.5-quart saucepan and lid
- 2.9-quart sauté pan and lid
- 4.8-quart stockpot and lid
- 8″ fry pan
- 10″ fry pan
- 1.5-qt. saucepan and lid
- 2.8-qt. saucepan and lid
- 2.9-qt. sauté pan and lid
- 4.8-qt. Dutch oven and lid
These pots and pans are triple-layer coated with the unique Keravis non-stick coating, which makes both cooking and cleaning enjoyable.
The non-stick layer is both PFOA-free and scratch resistant and you can use metal utensils when cooking. The coating is strengthened with ceramic particles, which offer non-stick cooking, and perfect browning while using less oil.
The cookware is made out of cold-forged aluminum, which heats up quickly and retains heat well while evenly distributes it. You can securely control your pots and pans when cooking without worrying about burning your hand’s thanks to the stay-cool handles provide on the pots and pans.
Unfortunately, these claims are disputed by product owners. Multiple users have complained that the non-stick layer has chipped. Since this is common to most of the non-stick layers we haven’t been surprised.
Induction and dishwasher compatibility
Ballarini Pisa set is not induction compatible but works with all other types of stoves.
Ballarini claims that Pisa is dishwasher safe. We would recommend washing pots and pans by hand since dishwasher shortens the lifespan of a non-stick layer.
The only set we would recommend is the 2-pan set for cooking eggs. All other sets in the Pisa line will last only a couple of years at best. Incompatibility with induction and oven makes it even worse choice.
Final verdict: not recommended.

Ballarini was founded in 1889 as a family owned business by Paolo Ballarini. He started out making kitchen utensils and by 1931 they were selling over 2000 items including cookware and tableware products.
In recent years the business was bought over by Zwilling J.A Henckel, a well-known cookware manufacturer. Ballarini now boasts a variety of superior quality aluminum cookware, which is all created and manufactured where it all started – Italy.
